Salary Range: £13.95 to £14.42 per hour
Contract Hours: 40 hrs per week (overtime available and paid at the hourly rate)
Contract Length: March to September 2026
Closing Date: 31st January 2026

About the Role

TYF Café is looking for a motivated and skilled Chef to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen in the heart of St Davids. This is a hands-on, seasonal role with the opportunity to transition into a year-round position for the right candidate. You’ll help us deliver high-quality, sustainably sourced food that reflects TYF’s values and commitment to adventure, community, and the environment.

  • Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Plan menus and specials using seasonal, local ingredients where possible
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and kitchen budgeting
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP compliance
  • Work closely with café manager to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Previous experience as a Chef or Senior Cook
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A passion for good food, local produce, and sustainability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, friendly team
  • Flexible and reliable, with a positive attitude
  • Available to work both weekdays and weekends (occasional evenings)
  • Level 3 Food hygiene qualification required
