Wales has some of the world’s most impressive and integrated legislation for sustainability through the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act, which place a duty on our public to demonstrate that they’re maximising their contribution towards seven goals that nest within the UN’s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
A couple of months back, I was interviewed for the Sustainable Podcast on ideas about what the future of education might look like. In a nutshell, we need to see:
1. Every child completing 500+ hours of impact problem solving
2. Wrestle and solve real challenges in the school including running, for real, the school energy, food & transport budgets
3. Understand circular economy principles by applying them to their own lives
4.Build the skills and confidence to live adventurously, indoors and out.The interview I gave is online here with much more detail
