Climb, swim, scramble and jump your way around the bottom of the cliffs. Participants will explore personal limits, overcome fears, bond with each other, and enjoy a few hours of adrenaline-soaked fun. All undertaken at a level that’s right for the group.
Explore our incredible coastline with its beautiful rock formations, caves, beaches, and crystal-clear waters. We’ve designed a low impact, floating cruise from bay to bay on sit-on-top kayaks, where students will learn new skills, push their limits, and build confidence and self-esteem.
We use special beginners’ boards, warm wetsuits, and skilled instructors to get students confidently on their feet and surfing. They’ll learn about local marine life, sea safety, how to paddle, how to negotiate the surf, how to prone ride in control of their board and the art of standing up and catching their first wave.
A fun mix of sit-on-top kayaking, coasteering, snorkeling and fishing that encourages exploration, learning, teamwork and gives pupils the change to challenge themselves. The sit-on-top sea kayak is a user-friendly craft, easy to control and very stable, designed for gentle exploration and suitable for all ages and abilities.
Students will learn the techniques for safe, low-effort and enjoyable stand up paddleboarding. The three adventure options are:
Our Mega SUPs are great for playful, team adventures. Working together, up to 10 participants paddle one giant inflatable SUP while exploring rivers or tranquil stretches of the Pembrokeshire coastline. Choose from the following adventures:
Pembrokeshire has some of the best climbing locations in the UK, suitable for all abilities.
Climbing sessions are designed to help students conquer their fears, try something that challenges them and build trust. Our world-class instructors will cover the basics of safety and technique before supporting pupils to dig deep and conquer the cliffs.
Both educational and exciting, this journey takes students into Pembrokeshire’s dramatic sea caves, narrow rock gorges and circumnavigates Ramsey Island. Plenty of opportunity here to look for Atlantic Grey Seals, Harbour Porpoises and see huge colonies of migrating and nesting seabirds.
The trip duration is 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the season and logistics.
A unique wild swimming adventure that lets pupils experience the thrill and challenge of wild swimming and explores the current research and proven benefits of cold-water exposure for mental health and resilience. We’ll also walk stretches of Pembrokeshire’s world-famous coastal path where students can enjoy the fresh sea air and breathtaking views.
A fully guided 3.5-hour Rockpool exploration that gives younger pupils an opportunity to explore the fascinating marine life of the intertidal zone. They’ll leave with an understanding of the coastal ecosystem and the knowledge to explore the beaches and coves of Pembrokeshire, and beyond, independently and responsibly.
This activity can take place either at one of the stunning local beaches or as an evening activity back at your
accommodation. Groups will explore the methods, history and science of fire lighting before getting the chance to build their own fires. In teams they can then take on the challenge of keeping a fire going long enough to cook and enjoy some handmade bread or brew up some delicious hot chocolate using our Kelly Kettles.
This activity is great when partnered with coastal crag climbing and involves a hike to the top of Carn Llidi (594 ft) where students can enjoy the panoramic views of the St. Davids Peninsular and (on a clear day) Ireland.
Led by our experienced, knowledgeable guides, pupils will learn about iron age settlements, plane crashes, and forgotten villages.
The Review and Celebration session takes place on the final
evening and is a chance for groups to review and take stock of what they have learnt throughout the programme. Led by one of our experienced facilitators, students are taken through a variety of reviewing techniques and activities designed to help draw learning and meaning from their experiences.
Challenge your navigational skills while engaging in this
exciting and energetic sport. TYF have carefully designed
routes to suit all abilities. Navigating on foot, this activity
involves locating concealed checkpoints using a compass, map and a good dose of initiative. It’s a great choice of activity if you are looking for a way of letting students burn off any excess energy and enjoy some independent adventure.
This tour takes a look around the Cathedral which has been a
site of worship and pilgrimage for over 800 years and discovers the myths and legends in the local landscape. When you are all cultured out, you can explore all St Davids has to offer, including all of the small businesses that we are lucky enough to have on our door step. Maybe you could even squeeze in a trip to the ice cream parlour.
Either spend a sunny afternoon on one of the many magnificent
Pembrokeshire beaches or enjoy the wide open spaces back at your accommodation. This activity incorporates a variety of high energy games designed to engage groups in fun team work challenges. Whether trying to wang your wellies the furthest or space hopper your team to victory, TYF guarantee much laughter and tired students by the end of the day.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path twists and turns its way around some of the most magnificent coastline in the UK. Our guided walks take in some of the best bits and participants get the opportunity to learn about the different types of unique world class flora and fauna, local history and geology. This activity presents a great opportunity for reflection and nature connection.
The Bug Farm is a research and visitor centre with a Tropical Bug Zoo, Museum, British Bug House, Insect Farming Exhibition, Farm Trails, and a Walled Garden.
The focus is on wildlife conservation and sustainable farming and their on-site café, Grub Kitchen, is the UK’s first full-time edible insect restaurant (don’t worry, there are plenty of non-insect dishes available too).
Reimagined for 2025 our series of games and tasks are carefully designed to explore the themes of group cohesion, communication, leadership and team strengths and weakness.
This activity allows teams to put into action the process of planning, review and adapting, learning from failure to enable
future success. There is plenty of opportunity to reflect on the
potential transfer of learning back to real-life and the classroom, whilst having a whole lot of fun!
