Coasteering with TYF Adventure coasteering-4 coasteering-3 coasteering-2

The original and the best.

Adrenalin packed action for all ages and abilities. Learn about the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline at the same time as having fun and testing your skill and endurance in Wales’ only coastal national park.

Whilst we wouldn’t be immodest enough to claim that we ‘invented’ the whole notion of exploring along rocky foreshores – kids have been doing that since seaside holidays first began – TYF Adventure is proud to have taken the whole notion one step further with the development of our flagship adventure activity coasteering.

It couldn’t be more simple – squeeze into a wetsuit, safety helmet, buoyancy aid and old trainers then scramble, climb, swim and cliff jump your way around Pembrokeshire’s spectacular rocky coastline, turning rocks, cliffs, caves and waves into playthings! Jumping is not compulsory but most people like to try it.

Our coasteering experiences…

+Adult coasteering adventure - 3.5 hours

Suitable for 16 years + (If you’ve got adventurous teenagers call us on 01437 721611 and we’ll find them the best adventure session possible)

You’ll be discovering the incredible coastal national park by foot, from a perspective very few people experience. Scrambling, leaping and traversing along the bottom of the coast where the sea meets the land, one of the most powerful places on the planet. There are some amazing jumps, a dynamic whitewater ‘toilet’ that flushes you in and out when the sea conditions are just right.  Our fantastic guides will show you how to coasteer safely whilst pushing you to your limits.

As you journey along the dramatic Pembrokeshire coastline we’ll point out all sorts of creepy wigglers, birds, plants and rocks and tell you interesting things about their natural habitats and how they are changing due to climate change.

BBC’s Julia Bradbury came coasteering with us last year, click here to see how she got on!

We’ve had some fantastic feedback recently and this one below is one of our favourites.

“I just wanted to drop a quick email to say a huge thank you for what was, quite simply, the best day I have had outdoors! I visited the centre on Saturday 4th September, and took part in a coasteering session in the morning and climbing in the afternoon. Both activities were superb; the coasteering was new to me and pushed my limits superbly, but even as an experienced climber the afternoon session was brilliantly differentiated and appropriate for all. Your instructors were simply fantastic, positive and considerate without pressure and with a superb manner. They are a credit to you and your company, and are perhaps the main reason why I will come back again, bringing as many family members as I can!”

We’ll help you to connect to the most important things in life, family, friends and our wonderful planet.

We had some lovely letters of thanks last year, this one made us smile!

“Just a quick note to say ”THANKS” for the half day coasteering on Saturday. There were 2 adults and 6 squeaky teenage girls. Rob our guide was excellent and everyone had great fun bobbing on the calm waters. TYF is a credit to British tourism. Keep up the good work and hopefully see you later on in the year for more laughs.”

Waterproof cameras are also for sale through our Booking Office.

You’ll scramble, swim, leap and climb your way to the best spots – and if you puchase one of our waterproof cameras, you can head back to HQ with a bunch of photos to show your friends and family how much fun you had.

The full day coasteering adventures run for 8 hours, and depend on availability. We have a day scheduled for Saturday 6th July 2013, call us to book.

There is a good chance that you will be walking to our coasteering locations as we trying to cut our Carbon emmisions by leaving the mini buses at our HQ. It’s a short walk, around 15mins and is a great way to warm up and meet the rest of the group.

On a calm day it is possible to explore caves, when it gets rougher hold onto your hats – it can be a rollercoaster ride!

The BBC’s ‘Holidays Out’ programme called it ‘the best liquid refreshment you can get’ and Everest mountaineer Chris Bonington found it ‘immensely enjoyable’. But you don’t have to be a TV presenter or a Himalayan climber to enjoy this fantastic new sport. BBC’s Julia Bradbury came coasteering with us recently, click here to see how she got on!
