Information for Organisers
We aim to make planning your visit a breeze so whether this is your a trip rookie or veteran you are in good hands. Below are documents, FAQs and other information designed to make planning your visit to TYF easier.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if someone can’t swim?
For coasteering and kayaking pupils have to wear a buoyancy aid, so being able to swim is not a requirement. For these activities we have a guide ratio of 1:8 so your group will be closely supported and supervised. When surfing or body surfing the group will be in shallower water, allowing individuals to build water confidence.
Do you cater for all dietary requirements?
Yes, all of our external caterers can plan menus and meals to suit specific dietary needs. Just let us know your requirements at the point of booking then we can ensure the necessary information is passed on.
Do we need to provide their own wetsuits?
No, for all of our activities we provide all the specialist equipment that your group will need. A full kit list will be provided during the booking process.
Do you have equipment to fit all sizes?
Yes, we have a wide range of sizes in all of our equipment. Before you head out on your activities our guides will ensure that all equipment fits correctly and make any necessary changes.
Adventure Activity Licencing Authority (AALA)
As a trip organiser, you may have concerns about identifying safety standards at adventure activity centres or individual providers. The licensing of centres providing adventure activities to young people of 17 years old and under came into force on 16 April 1996. All those who provide adventure activities within scope of the Licensing Regulations 2004 must have a licence. A copy of TYF's AALA licence can be seen below and more information can be found here.
