TYF use a variety of different kayaks including play boats and sea kayaks but for your first time you will likely be on one of our super stable sit-on-top kayaks as shown in the pictures above. Kayaking with TYF
No other craft get you closer to the coast than sit-on- top or sea kayaks. Gliding across our deliciously clean waters after learning the basic strokes, you’ll start your explore the coastline of Pembrokeshire, building skills and confidence on the way.
As you journey around the coast, TYF’s guides will also teach you about the ocean critters and seaweeds that live on our patch - something we need your help in fiercely protecting. We encourage you to be proud supporters of the wonderful #2minuteBeachClean project, and if we see any plastic on the ocean that shouldn’t be there, we’ll pick it upon the way.
Browse the range of courses that we offer or if it’s easier, just get in touch. If you want more inspiration in the meantime, you can read the latest reviews for TYF Adventure on TripAdvisor here, and look through our gallery below.

Great family sea kayaking adventure, equally fun for adults and kids in a beautiful location and a fantastic way to see the coast.

Spent a fantastic morning sea kayaking with TYF, our guide Tom was brilliant, he showed us some wonderful caves and taught us loads about the natural environment and we are now all experts on jellyfish! I would definitely recommend such a fun activity particularly with TYF who do everything so well.
Sea kayaking from Porth Clais near St David's

Hadn't been in a kayak for over 20 years, previously done some white water and some slalom but never been to sea.Signed up for an afternoon of sea kayaking whilst on holiday in St David's and enjoyed it tremendously.
Our group consisted of myself and three ladies and our leader was Dylan who did a great job of assessing what we were capable of and how long we were likely to last. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to sea the cliffs and coves from a different angle and who is reasonably fit and a little adventurous. Thanks Dylan ( where are the photographs? ) I might have another go next year.Keith
What sort of kayaks do TYF provide?
What equipment do I need?
Swimwear (for underneath the wetsuit)
- Old Trainers
What if I can't swim?
When kayaking you have to wear a buoyancy aid, so being able to swim is not a requirement. We run these sessions at a small ratio of 1 guide to 8 participants which enables close support and supervision.
