What to bring surfing

Course timings:

Courses begin at 9.00am on the first day, usually with a brief introduction to TYF and a chance to meet your coach and the other surfers in your group. Safety briefing and kit issue will be followed by an initial surfing session to gauge your ability. Lunch will be grabbed on the run.

Most days end at around 5.00pm, with an optional evening theory session or chance to watch a surf movie.

Courses finish at 5.00pm on the last day; if you wish to leave earlier please tell your coach on the first day. 

You need to bring:

Towel*
Wet suit boots
Swimming costume
Warm clothes for changing into

Packed lunches, disposable waterproof cameras and other equipment are available from TYF; please order them through our booking office.

*Please note, in traditional surfer fashion we often get changed at the beach with minimal facilities for male /female separation. If you are shy, please bring an extra large towel!

We will provide:

A surf board and leash
Full “steamer” wetsuit
Hot drinks
Safety equipment

…and a really friendly & experienced surf coach!
