What to bring climbing

Course timings:

Courses begin at 9.00am on the first day, usually with a brief introduction to TYF and a chance to meet your guide and the other climbers in your group. Safety briefing and kit issue will be followed by an initial climbing session to gauge your ability. Lunch will be grabbed on the run.

Most days end at around 5.00pm, with an optional evening theory session or the chance to relax

Courses finish at 5.00pm on the last day; if you wish to leave earlier please tell your guide on the first day. 

You need to bring:

Loose stretchy tracksuit/leggings
Warm clothes to wear outside all day
A wind/waterproof jacket
Hat/gloves or hat/sun cream
Trainers or rock boots if you have them.

We will provide:

Helmet
Harness
Any other specialist safety equipment

Participants who have their own equipment may choose to use this.
Please note any personal equipment that does not meet TYF adventure standards will not be used. This is at the discretion of the TYF Adventure guide leading the course.
