Do Adventure Programme

In over 20 years, TYF Adventure's guides have taken around 200,000 people to play and learn safely on the Pembrokeshire coastline. They've been able to do this, so effectively combining learning, play, personal growth, leadership development, technical skills coaching or business change, according to the needs of our clients, is testament to their skills and the training that TYF deliver.

2009 saw the launch of TYF Adventure Sea Change as a new way of working to integrate the essentials of sustainability and social change, enterprise and action into everything that we do, with 'Do Adventure' as our flagship guiding programme to give new and trainee instructors and adventure guides an unparralled range of skills and experience to educate, coach and inspire others to reach their potential, indoors and outdoors. We're continuing our work with
howies on creating the Do Lectures as a series of online video resources to help people do more, and will be drawing these excellent resources deep into the programme. Experts from organisations including Sustrans , Patagonia , WWF and FoE are on our list to add to the mix of skills and knowledge.

Do Adventure provides a unique combination training, experience and knowledge to enable students to work and teach in and through the outdoors, with coaching and communication skills underpinned by technical know how through  BCU, BMC, RSA, SLSA and in house qualifications. Many of the elements are modular to give existing and new customers the opportunity to pick and mix the most relevant weekends and courses to boost their own qualifications and experience.

This six month course is based in St David's and offers an unrivaled opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge through practical qualifications for teaching and working using the outdoors, with the ability to connect nature and adventure in a way that's not been done before in the UK. The first intake starts in April 2010; call Ross or Andy now on 01437 721611 to find out more.

"We aim to develop highly motivated change agents, with transferable skills, equally at home in the outdoors, classroom or boardroom."
